A Midsummer Night: A Khmer Soiree

Daro and Chan

We’re very excited to be hosting our inaugural charity event on June 21, titled, “A Midsummer Night: A Khmer Soiree” to raise support, awareness and collaboration for the KAA scholarship endowment. Our primary goal is to provide up to three $200 scholarships every year to local high school Cambodian students who are planning to attend a community college, trade/vocational school, or university. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic and personal merit as well as financial need. Proceeds from ticket sales will help build the scholarship fund.

This is a Khmer formal attire event! We request that women wear a formal Khmer top and formal Sopuit. Men should wear dress pants, dress shoes, and a formal, traditional Khmer shirt.

Some recommended shops:

  • Modern Fabric on Anaheim between Gaviota and Walnut
  • Chanlinda on Anaheim between Gardenia and Cherry
  • Khmer Bridal or Serey Sophorn on PCH between Junipero and Stanley

Tickets are now on sale online for $15 and include admission from 7-10pm, specially-prepared hors d’oeuvres and beverages, photobooth souvenirs, and a night full of celebrations and dancing! Donations are greatly appreciated as we hope to reach our goal and award scholarships beginning 2015. We hope to see you there!
